Arsenal are ‘mobilising’ themselves for a move for Fenerbahce defender Ferdi Kadioglu in the summer transfer window.
That’s according to Star, who report that the defender is ‘preparing to leave’ the Turkish side after an impressive season with them.
They explain that European giants, including Arsenal, have ‘taken action’ for the Turkish international ahead of the summer transfer window.
Italian champions Napoli are one of the sides to have already moved for him, while Arsenal are also believed to be taking steps ahead of a possible deal.
They’re planning to send scouts to watch the 24-year-old star in the upcoming clash against Hatayspor as part of their plans, with it ‘considered certain’ that Kadioglu will be on the way in the coming months.
Fenerbahce are aware of the interest in their player and want to get a ‘very good transfer income’ from any sale, even breaking the record set by Sacha Boey’s move to Bayern Munich in January.
That deal cost deal cost €30m so it seems Arsenal will have to dig deep if they are to get their man and bolster Mikel Arteta’s defensive options.
