With Arsenal currently 6th in the Premier League with just 10 games to go, the prospect of finishing outside the top four is becoming very real for Arsène Wenger and Gunners fans.

One of the issues the Frenchman has always struggled with is finding the right man to anchor his midfield, with Francis Coquelin, and most recently Granit Xhaka, still far from convincing in the role.

However, there is one man who could definitely do the job, at least according to RMC presenter Christophe Dugarry, and that is Paris Saint-Germain’s Blaise Matuidi.

With a contract at the Ligue 1 club running out in 2018, this summer could be the France international’s last in the capital, and, at 29, seems like the perfect time to try his hand at football outside his home country.

For the former Birmingham forward, there’s only one club he should be considering.

He said, relayed by Le10 Sport: “I see him at Arsenal. He’ll put some intensity, some desire to win. He’ll help get rid of all those fools who play at two miles an hour in midfield. I’d take him at a club like that.”

The 29-year-old has made 41 appearances for Paris Saint-Germain this season in all competitions, scoring three goals and picking up four assists along the way.
