Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard and Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne were not present at Belgium’s outdoor training Tuesday morning.
This is according to RTL Info, who state the Gunners forward and the Citizens midfielder were among seven players absent from today’s main training session.
New Belgium manager Domenico Tedesco had included the Arsenal and Manchester City stars in his first call-up to face Sweden in the European qualifiers and a friendly against Germany later this month.
Having trained indoors on Monday, De Rode Duivels met today for the first time to train under Tedesco.
De Bruyne and Trossard, along with Romelu Lukaku, Jan Vertonghen, Zeno Debast, Arthur Theate and Johan Bakayoko were missing from the training session. The latter has been called up to replace Jérémy Doku.
Over at Het Nieuwsblad, they also explain the Arsenal and Manchester City players were among the absentees from today’s training. They further add the aforementioned seven players ‘train individually’, without providing any reasons for that.
There should be more news expected on why Trossard, De Bruyne and other players were missing from the training session.
