Three days ago, Calciomercato reported Arsenal scouts have watched Michael Kayode on several occasions this season. The Gunners are joined by Manchester City in the chase for the Fiorentina star.
That’s according to Fiorentina.it, who name Arsenal and Manchester City as interested parties from England.
The 19-year-old was promoted to the first team at the start of this season and has starred for the Serie A side so far, managing a goal and two assists from 25 matches.
Earlier this week, Kayode’s agent Andrea Ritorni revealed several Premier League sides are following his client.
Fiorentina.it now claim ‘everyone is crazy’ about the 19-year-old, and when discussing his admirers, Arsenal, Manchester City, AC Milan and Inter Milan are tagged.
It’s said the Italy U21 international has ‘attracted even more attention’ from these four clubs, after he scored his first goal for Fiorentina in their 2-1 win over Lazio.
The 19-year-old’s deal lasts until 2028, with an option for another year. The report adds Kayode is only focused on Fiorentina and also hopes to make his debut for Italy next month.
“The national team is a dream for me and I hope to be called up as early as March, that’s my goal,” he told Corriere dello Sport, relayed by Fiorentina.it.
Therefore, Arsenal and Manchester City have to find a way to convince Kayode, if they wish to sign him in the summer.
