The Turkish media today shares very interesting news about Arsenal interest in Fenerbahce fullback Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
The initial report came from journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu. On Twitter, he claimed that a Gunners official is in Istanbul to watch the player in action against Olympiacos tonight.
It turns out that later on, Sports Digitale shared a new video of the same reporter talking a lot more about Arsenal’s chase.
Sabuncuoğlu claims it’s Gunners’ recruiter Romain Poirot who’s responsible for following Kadıoğlu. And after watching him and having complete reports of his skills, the club actually decided to make an offer for the player at the end of the season.
Arsenal are then expected to ‘knock on Fenerbahce’s door’ and see if they can get a deal for the fullback. For now, there’s no mention of how much the London side will offer for the transfer, or even how much would be enough for the Turkish side to accept. All that is known is that the Gunners have decided in favour of trying the signing.
