Arsene Wenger knows what he’s doing next season, but hasn’t yet decided to share that with the public. Arsenal fans have protested against the Frenchman in recent weeks and whilst the ‘Wenger Out’ group are increasingly loud, the manager still retains support at the club and among some fans.
There have been suggestions he could be going and suggestions to the opposite. Arsenal’s backroom staff looks like it’s been gradually changing over the past year and there are also changes expected higher up, which would suggest a move for Wenger.
However, other things point to a longer stay… such as an offer for Sead Kolasinac. German newspaper Bild report that Arsenal are one of a number of clubs to have submitted an offer for the Schalke player. Because Kolasinac’s contract ends in June, the offer will be direct to the player’s representatives, and be based around what financial package the fullback would receive.
Arsenal could probably do with a freshening up at left back, and Kolasinac can also play in central defence. With the transfer being free, save higher wages, it would allow Wenger to spend more elsewhere.
