AS Roma took Henrikh Mkhitaryan on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal last summer.

The Armenia international has five goals and three assists in 12 league appearances as injuries have stopped him from featuring regularly for the Serie A side.

On February 24th, we relayed news from Italy that Roma’s chances of signing the 31-year-old are ‘practically impossible’, if they fail to finish in the top four. The Giallorossi are fifth in the table with 42 points and are three points behind fourth placed Atalanta, who have a game in hand.

Roma manager Paulo Fonseca has already expressed his desire to make the transfer permanent.

Calciomercato have a short update on Mkhitaryan and they explain the north London club want €25m for the former Borussia Dortmund man.

Roma already paid €3m in loan fees when they signed him on a temporary deal. Therefore, Mkhitaryan’s valuation should be €22m in the summer and the Italian outlet adds that the figure quoted includes bonuses.
