Arsenal have ‘made enquiries’ about signing Brazilian midfielder – Player ‘willing to listen’ to offer

Arsenal are one of the many clubs who are interested in Atalanta midfielder Ederson, according to reports from Brazil.

Goal Brasil says the Gunners ‘made enquiries’ about signing the 24-year-old, who’s been excelling in Serie A lately.

The report makes it clear there are no bids from Arsenal or any other interested sides for now, as Ederson isn’t expected to leave Atalanta before the end of the season.

The midfielder is said to be happy to continue playing for the Serie A side for now, but is ‘willing to listen’ to offers going forward, as long as they’re good enough for his club.

Besides Arsenal, the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Paris Saint Germain are all said to be interested in Ederson as well, as all of them made approaches for his signing.

The story doesn’t say how much Atalanta would demand for the midfielder, who’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €27m, although you would expect them to want more than that for a sale.

He’s been heavily linked to an exit from the Serie A side lately, so a summer move wouldn’t be a big surprise.
