In the past few months, we’ve all been seeing the European interest in Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick. The latest news from Brazil say that the 16-year-old, who had just a few games for the first team this year, is about to move to Real Madrid for over €70m.
It turns out there’s another player at the Verdão’s academy who many people believe to have even more potential than Endrick. That’s Estevão Willian, mostly known at Messinho.
And according to Goal Brasil today, Arsenal are one of the clubs who are already interested in signing the 15-year-old.
The outlet writes that following an initial offer from Paris Saint Germain which was turned down by Palmeiras, two other clubs went after the player, and those are the Gunners and Barcelona.
Arsenal and Barça reportedly made contact with Messinho’s staff to know about his situation, and are now expected to monitor the youngster in the next two years, aiming for an offer.
The attacker is still featuring for Palmeiras’ U-17 squad and doesn’t even have a professional contract yet, as that only can be signed once he turns 16.
Even though he can only move to Europe once he turns 18, Arsenal and Barcelona could do the same as Real Madrid are doing to Endrick, meaning they’re buying him now and only getting him in 2024.
