A few days ago, Corriere dello Sport revealed that Carlo Ancelotti would wait until Saturday before revealing which of Orestis Karnezis and David Ospina he would be using against Milan this weekend.

The Arsenal goalkeeper arrived in the south of Italy on loan (with an option to buy), but hasn’t done so as a backup, at least not in his mind.

Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday report the Colombia international has decided to try and make the starting position his own, arriving in great shape, impressing in training.

The Italian newspaper explain the Gunners’ loanee is already showing his leadership skills and personality, and is adapting to Italian quite nicely thanks to already speaking Spanish.

As Karnezis started in the season opener against Lazio, the Greek has a bit of a head start, but the way things are going, Carlo Ancelotti could end up with a bit of a problem on his hands.

A good one, but a problem nonetheless.

Since arriving from OGC Nice in 2014, David Ospina has made 70 appearances for Arsenal, but only 29 of those came in the Premier League, as Arsène Wenger preferred to use him in the cups and eventually the Champions/Europa leagues.
