Arsenal and Liverpool are back being linked to Eintracht Frankfurt defender Willian Pacho today.
The news comes from Germany, where journalist Florian Plettenberg says the Gunners and Reds have the player on their ‘shortlist’.
This chase from Arsenal and Liverpool does not seem to be in the early stages, with the reporter saying the Frankfurt bosses are already aware of their interest.
The Bundesliga side are preparing themselves for the potential offers that will arrive next summer, and now set a price of €60m to let him go.
It’s been just a few months since Frankfurt signed Pacho, spending €9m to take him from Royal Antwerp last summer.
He had a quick impact at the Bundesliga side, though, with Plettenberg highlighting that he’s a ‘top player’ and ‘one to watch’ prior to the summer window.
Now it’s up for Arsenal and Liverpool to be prepared to spend all that money on the 22-year-old. He’s protected with a contract which runs until 2028, so the German club won’t feel threatened in that respect.
