Arsenal and AC Milan are said to be interested in the Belgian wonderkid Matthias Verreth.
The 18-year-old winger has been impressing for both PSV and the Belgian national set up, where he got the nickname of ‘new Dries Martens’, a player who he admitedly aspires to be like.
According to the Italian website Calcio Mercato, both Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal and the Rossoneri have sent scouts to the Netherlands so they can watch the player closely.
PSV are aware of the attention the youngster has been attracting and have tied him with a contract until 2019, which has an option to be extended for further an year.
Verreth is mostly a right winger, but can play on the left as well. He’s played for Belgium’s U-15, U-17 and U-19 levels, and in the latest category, he has three goals and one assist in three official appearances in the Euro qualifiers.
