Ajax are the darlings of European football.

Not only did they find a way to slay Real Madrid, they also cut down the major part of Los Blancos’ Champions League domination by beating Cristiano Ronaldo at his new house.

This summer the vultures will arrive. Frenkie de Jong’s exit to Barcelona is already confirmed, and now Matthijs de Ligt largely has the choice of where he’ll play his football next season.

Ajax can’t sell everyone and financially won’t need to, so for clubs interested in any of the other players there’s probably a need to hurry.

Marca take a look at it on Friday and link Arsenal with three.

First up is 21 year old right-back Noussair Mazraoui, with the Spanish newspaper saying Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool are all on the player’s trail.

Next is 26 year old Nicolás Tagliafico, a left back who can also play in the centre of defence.

Then there’s 22 year old (today, it’s his birthday) Donny van de Beek. Arsenal are said to have his name written down ‘in capital letters’.

Of course, what would a Spanish newspaper know? Well, much of their information is through claims La Liga sides are interested in the players.

Given Ajax’s great European success, anyone signing one of the team will get a positivity boost this summer, but it’s not going to be easy for Arsenal.
