Arsenal are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain’s Senny Mayulu in the summer.

The 19-year-old is on the radar of several European clubs and in particular Arsenal.

In fact, the Premier League side have made a move to try and bring the youngster to the Emirates.

The midfielder initially joined PSG’s academy on a free transfer in 2020, after six years at AF Épinay-sur-Seine.

Luis Enrique handed him his first team debut in January 2024, and he played 76 matches so far, managing 12 goals and nine assists.

This includes five goals and five assists from 1,835 minutes from 32 matches [16 league starts] this season. His Ligue 1 statistics per game for this season are as follows.

  • Key passes: 1.4
  • Shot on target: 0.4
  • Clearances: 0.2
  • Tackles: 2.0
  • Interceptions: 0.3
  • Possession won [final third]: 0.8
  • Duels won: 3.6

Mayulu’s development, performances and potential have convinced Arsenal to try and sign him in the summer.

Situation favours Arsenal

The France U21 international has less than 18 months left on his contract and PSG want to offer an extension. That’s according to Media Foot, who cover his renewal situation and the Gunners’ interest.

Last weekend, the Champions League winners confirmed he will be out for two weeks with a calf injury. This will force the France U21 international to miss the international break but won’t stop Mikel Arteta’s side from making advances.

The Paris club, led by advisor Luis Campos, have started discussions over a new contract but haven’t found an agreement yet.

Senny Mayulu is worried about his game time reducing next season with new summer arrivals. Therefore, he hasn’t signed the renewal offer that is already on the table. His hesitation has alerted several clubs, and among these, Arsenal are the ‘hottest’.

The north London club have ‘just made an offer’ to the player’s agent, but the details aren’t mentioned. The Arsenal ‘offensive is underway’ to try and bring Mayulu to the Emirates.

Earlier today, Sport Witness covered claims that Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka wants to join Mikel Arteta’s side. He’s available for free while Arsenal would have to pay a fee to PSG for the Frenchman.
