Arsenal could still be in the market looking for a new striker in the winter market after failing to sign Dušan Vlahović.

The north London club have identified a few targets as an alternative to the Fiorentina star.

Among them is Espanyol’s Raúl de Tomás and earlier on Tuesday, we relayed news from Spain the Gunners have ‘reactivated’ interest to sign the 27-year-old.

This is again backed up by a latest report from Mundo Deportivo, who state the north London club and Juventus would be interested in the striker.

He has been making headlines in the last few hours since the Spain international has ended up on the agenda of both Mikel Arteta’s side and the Old Lady.

It’s even claimed they ‘would not rule out’ making an offer to sign De Tomás before the January window closed on Monday.

As things stand, the La Liga side have not received any firm offer for the player. Even if they were to receive one, they will not negotiate and will refer to De Tomás’ €70m release clause.

In other words, if Arsenal or Juventus want to sign the attacker this month, they have to pay €70m.

De Tomás has 12 goals and two assists in 21 league matches this season for Espanyol.
