Arsenal are named as one of the clubs looking at Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze when the transfer window reopens after this season.
That’s according to La Razón, who add the Gunners, along with a few other Premier League sides and Atlético Madrid ‘threaten’ the winger’s continuity with Unai Emery’s side.
As was the case last summer, the report adds the 21-year-old will once again be ‘tempted to abandon’ the Yellow Submarine in the next market. When discussing the suitors, Diego Simeone’s side and the north London club are named.
It’s claimed Atlético have been interested in the Nigeria international for a while, but they will not be ready to meet his €80m buyout clause.
Regarding the Emirates club, the website states Arsenal are ‘very interested’ in the player.
Besides stating the Gunners are ‘willing to bid’ for Chukwueze, La Razón doesn’t specify the fee the Gunners are willing to invest for his signing.
Chukwueze has four goals and seven assists in 36 matches in all competitions this season for Villarreal.
