Sevilla’s Lucien Agoumé has already emerged as a transfer target for Arsenal.
Last month, we covered claims from Spain that the Gunners and Borussia Dortmund are showing interest. It was also reported the two clubs, who have been following him, have collected positive reports about the midfielder.
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC have a report on Arsenal’s interest and the La Liga side’s plans for Agoumé.
He initially joined the Andalusian club on loan from Inter Milan in January 2024. His stay was made permanent later that year for €8m, with the Serie A side retaining 10% of his rights.
The 23-year-old has a contract lasting until 2028. Sevilla are said to be aiming to make a ‘big sale’ of the Frenchman to help them restructure their squad. There’s no mention of the fee they are hoping to collect.
According to the report, the player has already received approaches from the Premier League. This includes from Arsenal, who are the only club named.
It’s claimed Mikel Arteta’s side are the ‘main candidate to make an offer’ in an upcoming window, if the player continues to maintain his good form.
Agoumé has a goal and an assist from seven matches this season.
