Event though Arsenal seem to continue delaying their offer for Grêmio midfielder Bitello, they may still hold an advantage in that race.
That’s today written by Gremistas, who features an update on the player’s situation at the Brazilian side.
It’s claimed that Bitello is the ‘main candidate’ to leave Grêmio this summer, with the interest from Porto, Arsenal and Torino.
There seems to be a crucial point separating those first two clubs, and that’s the date they’d like to take the player to Europe.
It’s pointed out that Grêmio would only like the player to move in December, following the end of the Brazilian season.
And while Porto are not fine with that, as they’d like to have him this summer, Arsenal think differently, and would be happy to welcome the player in January.
Reports have been claming that the Gunners are close to getting the signing done, but people at Grêmio have already denied having even received a bid from the London side.
That’s a relatively cheap deal for Arsenal, with the midfielder costing around €10m, and they can maybe still ask for a discount to only get him in January.
