Lautaro Martinez would no longer be interested in a move to Arsenal after they ‘got it all wrong’ in the transfer window.

That’s according to journalist Fabrizio Biasin, who says that the Argentine would have looked at the proposal at one point.

The Gunners enjoyed a busy summer transfer window, with Mikel Arteta welcoming no fewer than six new arrivals at the club in a £149m spending spree.

The Spaniard looked to cover every position, with a new goalkeeper, left-back, two centre-backs, a central midfielder and an attacking midfielder all arriving.

There were no additions upfront, despite rumours suggesting the Gunners were keen to add to their forward line.

One of those linked with Arsenal was Inter Milan striker Martinez, who was targeted by several clubs around Europe amid contract negotiations with the Serie A champions.

Ultimately a move did not happen, and Biasin has hinted the Argentine would not even consider it were it offered.

“All players are interested in their portfolios, but Arsenal got it all wrong in the market, and now they’re the least attractive to important players,” he told Calciomercato.it

“He’s doing well at Inter, he’s just won the Scudetto, and he can have a thousand reasons to grow.

“Obviously, he won’t necessarily stay until 2025; maybe they’ll sell him in a year’s time for 100 million. But in this way, everyone is protected.”
