Arsenal are one of the many European clubs who are interested in Corinthians youngster Breno Bidon, according to claims from Brazil.
The information comes from journalist Jorge Nicola, who shares a video detailing the race for the 19-year-old.
The whole thing started with the Spanish media, who last week claimed that Barcelona and some English clubs are interested in the midfielder.
Nicola then spoke to Bidon’s representatives, who told him that the likes of Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have all made contact for the player as well.
Corinthians haven’t set a price for the sale yet, and apparently won’t do that. The club claim they won’t sell him now, as they want him to develop there and play for them for a while.
We shall see how long that stance will stand, as Brazilian clubs rarely have a good financial situation, and Corinthians are no exception.
Bidon only has three appearances for the first team so far, so Arsenal and others must have started their interest when scouts watched him play for the youth ranks. It’s always worth recalling that Edu Gaspar used to be Corinthians’ football director, and will therefore have an inside line.
