With a contract expiring at the end of the month, everyone expects Reiss Nelson to leave Arsenal on a free transfer.
There are a lot of clubs looking at the winger, and AC Milan in Italy are one of those, as recalled by Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday.
This isn’t the first time the Serie A side have been linked with the Arsenal player, with it said in April they were seriously considering making a move.
Well, that is still the case, and the first move has already been taken, with Gazzetta bringing the latest in Milan’s transfer window plans.
They reveal the Arsenal winger has ‘already spoken to Milan’ about a possible move, as they are open to the idea of a free transfer, knowing full well that ‘whoever takes him only pays for his salary’.
The 23-year-old has been with the Gunners since 2007, and has come through the ranks impressively over the years.
However, the growth of Mikel Arteta’s squad meant Nelson was limited to just 18 appearances in all competitions last season, spread over a measly 590 minutes of football.
That’s why a contract renewal doesn’t appear to be on the cards, and Milan could profit from that.
