There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Fenerbahçe have been offered the chance to sign Arsenal loanee Raheem Sterling.

The Chelsea owned attacker has failed to deliver during his time at the Emirates Stadium and is expected to return to the Blues in the summer.

However, it’s unlikely the former England international is part of Chelsea’s long-term plans, and he could be given an escape route with a move to Fenerbahçe.

Takvim today report the Istanbul side have been approached by agents over the possibility of signing Sterling ahead of next season.

With Allan Saint-Maximin set to return to Al-Ahli SFC after his loan spell at Fenerbahçe this season, Jose Mourinho could be tempted to bring in Sterling as a replacement.

It looks like Fener will miss out on the Super Lig title to local rivals Galatasaray and Mourinho is looking to bolster his attacking options this summer. Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho has also been linked in recent days.

Despite Arsenal’s injury issues in attack this season, Sterling has started just six Premier League games for the north London club. He’s still yet to score a league goal for the Gunners and has registered just two assists.

The 30-year-old is contracted to Chelsea until June 2027.
