Arsenal have been described as ‘hurt and needy’ ahead of their clash with Sevilla in the Champions League, with their result against Lens meaning they need to win this evening.
Diario de Sevilla cover the Gunners today ahead of tonight’s trip to Spain and the clash between the two sides.
The newspaper states the match ‘looks like a great game’ on paper as Arsenal are now currently one of the best sides in Europe under Mikel Arteta and are exciting to watch.
They are, though, reportedly, ‘nothing more than Real Madrid’ – the team that Sevilla faced at the weekend and ‘held their own against’. In fact, they showed enough to ‘take the three points’ against Carlo Ancelotti’s ‘powerful team’ and that should give them confidence for the clash with Arsenal.
The Gunners are seen as somewhat vulnerable as they are ‘hurt and needy’ after the disappointing loss to Lens turned Group B upside down.
The belief is that the Gunners will literally need to come out ‘with their entire Arsenal’ but that could give Sevilla their chance to take advantage.
Whether that is possible remains to be seen, of course, but the belief in Seville is seemingly that Arsenal can be got at, which should provide nice motivation for Mikel Arteta’s dressing room wall.
