Arsenal are one of the clubs who are interested in Vitória Guimarães midfielder Ibrahima Bamba, according to reports from Portugal.

Newspaper O Jogo today writes that the 20-year-old has been drawing some attention from European sides ahead of the January transfer window, and is expected to become a great chance for his club to cash in with a big sale.

It’s claimed that Arsenal, along with Atalanta, Paris Saint Germain and Villarreal, are ‘closely following’ the player, and these clubs even ‘tried to find out’ the conditions to sign him.

O Jogo claims that some of those approaches will soon become offers, especially because Vitória Guimarães are indeed keen on making business, as his sale is ‘practically certain’.

It’s just not yet said if the Portuguese club have a minimum price to let the midfielder go, with the newspaper only pointing out that he recently renewed his contract, agreeing to a €30m release clause.

Now with those many clubs willing to compete for the signing, perhaps Arsenal will have to pay something close to those figures to win that auction.
