Le Havre have a knack for finding talented youngsters, putting them on display and eventually profiting from their work in development when they make it to a higher level.
Steve Mandanda, Dimitri Payet, Riyad Mahrez, Benjamin Mendy and Paul Pogba have all been at the club at some point in their career, and there might be a new name to add to that list in the future: Tom Cadoche, .
The 15-year-old, who currently plays for the Ligue 2 side’s U17s, has attracted a lot of attention from around Europe, as L’Impartial in France claim Arsenal, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea in the Premier League coming to see him ‘multiple times’.
Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid are also keen, and it’s the latter’s interest that has sent alarm bells ringing.
Of course, the fact all these clubs have come to watch Cadoche doesn’t mean he will sign for them, but the fact Manchester United have been actively plucking talent from France in the last 12 months (Hannibal Mejbri and Noam Emeran to name two) and are still looking at the Le Havre youngster suggests they aren’t going to stop anytime soon.
In fact, Arsenal and Manchester City have also been active on the French football scene, so it’s not real surprise to see them there too.
Perhaps a name to remember for in a few years time, especially with clubs always looking for a defensive midfielder/midfielder.
