Arsenal captain Martin Ødegaard has again praised youngster Antonio Nusa as the winger continues to impress and earn himself admirers in Europe.
Nusa is currently a part of the Denmark squad during this international break, picking up his third and fourth caps in the 4-0 win over Cyprus and the 1-0 defeat to Spain.
It’s been another good international break for him, with a goal in the 27th minute against Cyprus adding to his growing reputation and a 32-minute cameo against Spain earning praise, particularly from Arsenal’s Martin Ødegaard.
He’s a big admirer of the youngster and has made his opinion on the player clear before, singing his praises earlier this year when he was being linked with a big money move to Chelsea.
“It’s nice to see Norwegian players who make themselves noticed like this. As soon as Nusa came off the bench, he became dangerous. He’s a good player,” he told VG, relayed by Voetbal Primeur.
The question is whether Ødegaard is saying the same things to those in charge at Arsenal. Nusa has not really been linked with the Gunners as yet, despite their focus on younger players under Mikel Arteta in recent years.
He’s very much a player that would fit the transfer profile they like and with a big fan such as Ødegaard, perhaps these latest comments, and previous ones, are an attempt to nudge the club in the right direction.
