Arsenal are not expected to pay the full amount of Victor Osimhen’s release clause this summer, or go anywhere near that amount.
That’s according to Sky Italia, relayed by CalcioNapoli24, who today detail the situation at the Serie A side before they start with their summer moves.
Their correspondent Francesco Modugno starts by saying that for Napoli to start rebuilding the squad for new manager Antonio Conte, they must sort out Osimhen’s sale.
Even though Paris Saint Germain and Arsenal are named as clubs who want him, it’s said that no one seems close to spending the €130m.
Especially regarding the Gunners, there’s interest but ‘not at certain figures’.
So it seems Napoli will have to accept seeing their star go for a little less, at least in case they continue with their plan to use his sale to pay for other signings.
There have been hints in the Italian media that Napoli will have to come down with their valuation or face missing out on the sale this summer.
