Arsenal are interested in the signing of Atlético Mineiro winger Sávio, according to reports from the Brazilian media.
UOL reports that the Gunners, along with Red Bull Bragantino, have begun to ‘move behind the scenes’ in the past few days to get the transfer done.
It was the Brazilian side who moved first, with a €5m offer, which was considered too little by Atlético Mineiro.
While waiting for a new attempt from Bragantino, the Galo became aware of Arsenal’s interest, with a potential January bid from the Gunners has been ‘discussed internally’ by the London side.
Sávio is a 17-year-old winger who, due to the many stars in Atlético’s current squad, hasn’t been getting a lot of playing time at the club after having made 21 appearances for them last season.
His potential, however, seems to be enough to draw the interest from scouts, especially with this offer from Bragantino making it clear that he won’t be moving for a small fee.
