AS Roma’s Leonardo Spinazzola has ended up on the target lists at Arsenal and Aston Villa, as per a report from Italy.
The left-back has less than six months left on his deal and last week, his agent Davide Lippi told Sportitalia that his client will not sign an extension. He has also left the door open for the 30-year-old to leave the Serie A this month.
“There is no chance for a renewal. Let’s see how the January market develops otherwise he will expire,” he said.
This is highlighted by LaRoma24.it, who then talk about Arsenal and Aston Villa interest in the fullback.
In a short report, it’s said the Gunners and Unai Emery’s side are in the picture to sign the Italy international. It’s not been specified whether the Premier League duo are looking at him for January or next summer.
Operating mainly as a left wing-back, Spinazzola has managed a goal and three assists from 17 games this season.
Arsenal have Oleksandr Zinchenko as the only recognised left-back in the squad and Mikel Arteta has used Takehiro Tomiyasu in that position on several occasions this season.
At Aston Villa, Lucas Digne and Álex Moreno are the two options available for Emery.
