As Nuno Tavares stands by the exit door at Arsenal, Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb brings some interesting updates on his situation at the Gunners.
First of all, it’s claimed that two clubs are currently ‘on his trail’, and those are Galatasaray and West Ham United.
It turns out that even though Tavares is not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans at Arsenal, the London side won’t him leave for peanuts.
That’s because the Italian outlet claim the club will be requesting ‘at least €25m’ for his summer departure.
Another obstacle that Galatasaray and West Ham may find is that Tavares isn’t all that interested in joining them.
According to TuttoMercatoWeb, the player is actually ‘waiting for more important’ clubs to come after him.
Signed by Arsenal on an €8m deal from Benfica in 2021, the fullback was only used by the Gunners for one season.
Last summer, he was loaned to Olympique Marseille after falling out of favour and the signing of Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Even though West Ham could give him the chance of staying in London, it seems he believes to deserve a club where he can fight for bigger things.
