As Juventus prepare for their friendly against Arsenal which will take place at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, they’re ready to welcome one of their World Cup stars back to the squad.
That’s Dusan Vlahovic, who had been in Qatar with Serbia’s squad and ended up being eliminated still in the group stage.
Turin newspaper Tuttosport today features a story about the striker’s return to Juventus, who are now set to evaluate his physical condition and see if he’ll be ready to face Arsenal at the ‘luxury friendly’ at the weekend.
It turns out that the outlet then writes about the clubs who’ve been interested in Vlahovic lately, and the Gunners get a mention in the list.
It’s claimed that despite his discreet exhibitions in the World Cup, many clubs recently got in touch with his agent and ‘asked for information’ on his situation at Juventus, trying to get to know whether he’d be interested in a transfer out of the club.
Arsenal are one of them, along with Chelsea, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain.
Tuttosport writes that to let Vlahovic go, Juventus would need to receive offers close to his current valuation, which stands at around €80m, the price they paid to take him from Fiorentina back in January.
Otherwise, there’s just no reason to sell the striker who has seven goals scored this season.
