Liverpool are yet to make any contact with Jurgen Klopp about a potential return to Anfield as manager.
That’s according to SportBILD. They report that while Liverpool’s owners are ‘thinking of Klopp’, they’re yet to make contact about a return.
They say that while Klopp has given Liverpool hope about a return with recent comments regarding the position, there’s been no official moves to make it happen yet.
That’s despite the pressure increasing on Arne Slot day by day. According to SportBILD, he has now been given a deadline of Christmas. Those in charge have ‘decided internally’ that Slot must have initiated a positive turnaround by that point or he will be sacked.
Liverpool currently sit 9th in the table, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal. They are only two points outside of the top four, though. It appears that bunching in the middle of the table may be providing respite for the Dutch boss at this moment in time.
An internal deadline has been set, though. He needs to turn things around by Christmas. He has also been informed of a need to reunite the dressing room. SportBILD say that is fractured at this moment in time.
The pressure is on, but, crucially, Liverpool’s ownership are yet to get in touch with Jurgen Klopp about a return.
