Leeds United’s chase for Argentine starlets continues to be reported in the South American country.
Following claims this week saying Racing midfielder Matías Zaracho was one of Marcelo Bielsa’s targets, there are more claims coming from El Intransigente today.
The outlet confirms that there’s interest from the Championship side in the 22-year-old. It’s said he’s one of the pieces who are attentively being followed by the Argentine boss.
However, it’s said there’s been no contact with the club or the player so far. That should be something to be developed once the transfer window gets closer.
El Intransigente mentions the fact that Leeds are close on getting a promotion to the Premier League, and treats it as a good opportunity for Zaracho’s career.
They also take quotes from Racing president Victor Blanco, who claims that Zaracho has the potential to make a move to Europe.
“Matías is a player of whom I have no doubts that he is in the sights of Europe. Other first-team players are also in the sights of other coaches and other technical directors.”
Regarding Lucas Martinez Quarta, the River Plate defender who Leeds United are also following, Sport Witness was able to bring some exclusive updates on the chase yesterday.
