Here’s more news from the Argentine media regarding Lionel Messi’s departure from Barcelona.

Journalist Veronica Brunati, who is very well connected, is the one bringing some updates, claiming that Manchester City will soon hold talks for his signing.

She says that club officials will be in Barcelona in the coming week, and will speak directly to Messi’s family regarding the transfer.

According to her report, the Argentine star had the chance to join Manchester City in 2015, when the club was ready for his arrival. He ended up choosing to stay at Barcelona, however, things are different this time.

Veronica Brunati brought a couple more tweets which should be interesting for Manchester City fans. One of them says that Paris Saint Germain are preparing an offer to ‘seduce’ Messi, which means there should be some heavy competition for his signing.

The next was an update on Kun Aguero’s situation at the club, as his contract expires at the end of the season. She’s explained the talks for his renewal haven’t started yet, but the player wants to stay at Manchester City as long as they want him there.

Over in Italy, there’s also a report that Manchester City are meeting Lionel Messi’s family, but they have a different take. TuttoMercatoWeb reports that the club will speak to his father, Jorge Messi, in England on Monday. The outlet adds Manchester United and Paris Saint Germain have been in touch with his dad as well.
