Matteo Darmian is facing an uncertain future at Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho quite obviously preferring other options at the moment.

Darmian hasn’t featured at all in the Premier League under Mourinho, whilst the former Chelsea boss also left him out of the Europa League match against Zorya.

Reports in Italy suggest Inter Milan are interested in taking him back to Italy, and even sent scouts to watch him in the Europa League, but he wasn’t even in the squad.

According to local website Passione Inter, Darmian is still on top of the wish-list of Inter. The Serie A club believe they could get him cheaply, since he isn’t playing regularly for Manchester United, but they could face some competition.

Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in a reunion with Darmian, but it remains to be seen if Manchester United would sell him to their direct rivals.

Interest from Chelsea could make things a little difficult for Inter, and the whole story surrounding Darmian’s future would become much more intriguing if Chelsea made an approach.
