N’Golo Kanté is in his final year of contract at Chelsea and his future at Stamford Bridge beyond this season remains unclear.

Four days ago, Foot Mercato explained the midfielder has been offered to Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.

Le10 Sport have a report on the 31-year-old, where they question whether he wants to leave Chelsea.

In response to that, they state, according to their own sources, ‘the answer is no’ because he is happy with his life at the club and also in England. The ex-Leicester City star has absolutely not made the decision to leave his current employer and his priority is to continue with them.

There should be no surprise if the France international signs a new deal at Chelsea, if they end up meeting his conditions. The duration of contract remains key since it will be the last big deal of his career.

It’s explained the player is looking for a deal of three to four years. Graham Potter’s side don’t seem to be ready to meet his demands as they want to offer a contract for a shorter period. Despite this, the negotiations continue between the two parties.

Kanté’s renewal at the west London club is not related to the arrival of a new director. If both parties can come to an agreement over the length of the deal, then the case could be concluded soon.

Le10 also state there has been no contact or discussions with another club.
