At the start of the week, reports from South America revealed that Brazilian side Flamengo are interested in Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri.
It was reported by Uruguayan journalist Sebas Giovanelli that the 22-year-old, who spent the past few months loaned out out to Granada, is being chased by the Rio de Janeiro side.
Now, according to Gazeta Esportiva, there’s another Brazilian club interested in Pellistri. That’s Corinthians.
The website writes that the Timão have the Manchester United player ‘on their radar’ for the summer window. They have been looking for an attacker, and he’s the type of profile they’re seeking.
Corinthians know they wouldn’t have an easy task, though. Gazeta Esportiva points out that the club would have competition from Brazil and abroad for the signing.
Pellistri was of little use for Erik ten Hag last season, and that’s why the club decided to loan him out to Granada in the January transfer window.
There are many signs Manchester United won’t make use of him, and it remains to be seen whether he’d accept a return to South America in the summer.
