Tottenham could be gearing up for a big summer spend in the Bundesliga, with Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Larsson and Bayer Leverkusen’s Piero Hincapié on their list.

That’s according to SportBILD at least, who bring Tottenham into the mix when discussing both players today.

First Larsson, with SportBILD reporting that ‘all top clubs’ want the midfielder this summer and Tottenham are one of them.

They newspaper explains that Larsson has made rapid progress at Frankfurt since joining from Malmö in 2023 has four goals in 30 games this season.

He’s valued at around €35m and the ‘really big clubs’ are already knocking on his door. Tottenham are one of the sides known to be watching him alongside Arsenal and Liverpool. AC Milan are admirers from Italy while Real Madrid have also been watching his development. Manchester City are also in the mix.

The belief is that if he continues to develop at such a rapid pace, the suitors could come forward with concrete bids. Eintracht see him as their ‘next big win’ on the market and those in charge want at least €50m.

They, though, are also advising the player to stay with them until 2026 so he can gain ‘better competitive strength as he’s regularly suffered with muscular problems. He needs more time to adapt, and it could put off the likes of Tottenham, particularly with their injury problems this season.

Those injury issues have decimated their squad, particularly in defence, and that’s where Hincapié could come into the mix.

SportBILD report that Tottenham were interested in the defender in 2023, while Atletico Madrid made a move in 2024. Those are just some of the inquiries for the defender, and they are ‘piling up’ at Leverkusen.

He’s considered a potential star and has plenty of interest, but Leverkusen have tied him to a deal until 2029 and want at least €70m for him.

The fact he can play on the left in a three-man defence or in a four-man defence means he’s highly valued, though, and Tottenham are one of his suitors.

Whether they’d spend so much to get him is up for debate but he’s on their list, alongside Larsson, ahead of what may be a busy summer.
