As Nottingham Forest’s quest for Brazilians continues, they seem to be about to add another one to the squad.
According to journalist Venê Casagrande, Atletico Madrid defender Felipe is on his way to the City Ground.
The report claims the 33-year-old is signing a contract with Nottingham Forest until the summer of 2024. It’s said that the contracts have ‘already been exchanged’ for the move to be concluded.
For now, there’s no information on how much the Reds are paying for the signing. It’s well known that the player wanted out of Atletico Madrid, and with the club looking to get rid of his wages, they weren’t making big demands for the transfer.
Felipe had also been linked to Wolverhampton Wanderers a few weeks ago. He was expected to make the same move as his teammate Matheus Cunha, but despite the striker’s move to Molineux, it was claimed that the defender did not agree terms with Julen Lopetegui’s side.
Nottingham Forest’s intention to sign Felipe was reported over the weekend, and it seems the Reds moved quickly to get the signing done.
