Sevilla have been criticised for their failure to sell players at the right time, with West Ham United eyeing a cut price deal for striker Youssef En Nesyri.
The Moroccan forward has been linked with the Hammers for the last few years and is again seemingly a target for January, with a recent report making it clear they have essentially been given a red carpet to make a move happen.
That’s not gone down well at Sevilla, with website Vamos Mi Sevilla covering the potential deal today and the club’s inability to sell players at the right time.
They label that ‘one of the mistakes’ of the current management, who don’t know how to sell player ‘at a good price’.
While other clubs in Spain such as Valencia and Villarreal get ‘huge sums of money’ for some players, Sevilla ‘practically gave away’ players such as Ivan Rakitic and Diego Carlos or allowed them to be taken away for low clauses.
Then there is the case of En Nesyri, who West Ham ‘offered significant money’ for in the past but saw their efforts rejected by Sevilla.
Two years ago, they offered around €40m for his signature but that was rejected and now he could end up at West Ham for around €15m instead, a significant difference and ‘less than half’ what they could have had.
It’s leading to some unhappiness among those who follow Sevilla, who are frustrated by the club’s failure to learn the art of ‘knowing how to sell on time’ once again.
