Atlético Mineiro and Nottingham Forest seem to be taking the final steps before making Gustavo Scarpa’s transfer official.

As reported by the Brazilian media this week, the Tricky Trees already accepted the Galo’s offer for the midfielder’s permanent transfer.

Now it’s journalist Jorge Nicola who shares an update on the situation, claiming it’s a ‘matter of time’ until Atlético announce the deal with Nottingham Forest.

It’s claimed that contracts are now being written, with the Galo paying €5m for the transfer. It’s also made clear that the Brazilian side won’t be paying that all at once, as the instalments will be split over a few years.

Nottingham Forest didn’t spend much to bring Gustavo Scarpa from Brazil, as they signed Gustavo as a free agent back in January. Due to injuries and personal problems, he only made ten appearances, and couldn’t convince the club he deserved to be in the squad for this season.

During his loan at Olympiacos this season, he didn’t have many chances either, with 11 appearances made. The Greek side apparently didn’t put any obstacles for the end of his spell there.
