Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira is back on Palmeiras’ radar, according to O Globo in Brazil.

The 28-year-old has reported indicated through his representatives, and not for the first time, that he would be open to listening to a proposal before the transfer window closes, giving the São Paulo side fresh encouragement after a failed attempt earlier this year.

At the start of 2024, Palmeiras tabled an offer close to €20m for Andreas, but Fulham resisted and negotiations collapsed.

This time, O Globo reported that the London club may be prepared to accept a lower fee, while Palmeiras are making it clear they do not want to overspend.

The Brazilian window shuts on 2 September, and the club are racing to provide new options for Abel Ferreira’s squad.

In a podcast, journalist André Hernan adds that a Palmeiras representative is currently in London to try to finalise a deal for Brighton winger Julio Enciso, and during the same trip there has been a secondary conversation about Andreas.

For now, the midfielder is only at the stage of leaving the door open to talks, while Palmeiras weigh whether to revive their pursuit.

The player, who previously admitted his desire to return to Flamengo, has not advanced any move back to Rio. Whether this renewed opening will turn into a concrete offer is still uncertain.
