Following a loan spell at Nottingham Forest last season, Benfica midfielder Alfa Semedo is reportedly close to moving to England once again.

Portuguese newspaper Record writes today that the player is going back to the Championship, although they don’t name which club is signing him.

They say manager Jorge Jesus doesn’t count on the 23-year-old, and his departure from the Eagles should be sealed this week.

Semedo made 24 appearances for Nottingham Forest last season, and despite having ups and downs at the club, perhaps he could return.

Just yesterday, newspaper A Bola had a story claiming that Benfica were renewing three loan deals with English sides. Filip Krovinovic is staying at West Brom, Chris Willock will continue at Huddersfield Town and Bristol City are keeping Pedro Pereira.

A Bola’s story also claimed all these deals are being sorted this week. Since it’s very similar to what Record say about Semedo, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Forest signing him again.
