Spanish newspaper AS report Carlo Ancelotti faces ‘alarm’ ahead of this week’s match against Manchester City, with one of his key players struggling for fitness.

The Champions League semi-final currently stands at 1-1 following the first leg at the Bernabeu. Wednesday’s match at the Etihad will be decisive for the seasons of both clubs.

For Real Madrid it can take them to yet another final in the European competition, and for Pep Guardiola’s side it brings the potential of a treble much closer.

Ancelotti’s panic will be based around Eduardo Camavinga, who is described as an ‘essential footballer’ for Los Blancos, and whether hell be fit for the match. He took a knock against Getafe at the weekend and had to leave the pitch, and therefore the worry has some serious basis.

The 20-year-old tried to brush things off after the match, but AS say that’s because the Frenchman is generally very polite and it would just be his natural reaction.

Camavinga is set to have an MRI scan and that will determine whether he can take to to the pitch against Manchester City.
