According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce are closing in on Manchester United attacker Antony.

The Brazil international has seen himself frozen out of Erik ten Hag’s starting eleven this summer and may need to go out on loan to get regular games.

Fotomac have reported on Fenerbahce’s pursuit of the Manchester United man, and they say the Super Lig giants are in transfer talks to take the winger on loan for the rest of the season.

Fener manager Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in additions before the Super Lig window closes on the 13th September and with local rivals Galatasaray signing Victor Osimhen on loan from Napoli, the former Red Devils boss wants to bring in a marquee signing.

Despite the Turkish window only closing in ten days it’s stated the aim is to finalise a deal for Antony tonight. There are no reports if the Istanbul side are willing to cover the player’s full salary.

Antony made 38 appearances for the Premier League side last season but has just played one minute in this campaign. He’s contracted until June 2027.
