Valencia are ‘closer than ever’ to securing a new loan deal for Tottenham youngster Bryan Gil to return to the Mestalla.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo and Marca, who both say a deal is close to being concluded.

Mundo reports that the agreement between Tottenham and Valencia is ‘closer than ever’ and sources close to the negotiations have said they are now ‘complete’.

Those same sources reports that ‘only a few details’ need to be agreed before the deal can be made official between the parties.

The youngster would arrive at the Mestalla on loan for the season as a direct replacement for Goncalo Guedes, who joined Wolves earlier in the summer.

Valencia’s attempts to include an option to buy in the deal have not been successful, with Gil set to return to Tottenham at the end of the season.

This is backed up by Marca, who say the agreement between Tottenham and Valencia ‘seems to be close’.

According to their information, the proximity to the end of the transfer window is ‘hurrying’ Antonio Conte and co. to find a player for the Spaniard as he is not a part of the Italian’s plans.

They differ from Mundo, though, by stating that the inclusion of an option to buy or even an obligation to buy at the end of the deal is still being negotiated.

Either way, Gil appears to be closing in on a return to Valencia following his successful spell there at the end of last season.
