On Tuesday morning French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Mamadou Sakho was going through a period of reflection before agreeing to join Crystal Palace.
The Liverpool owned defender, ostracised by manager Jurgen Klopp, hadn’t been too keen on joining a club fighting relegation.
The time wanted for thought over a move to Crystal Palace appeared to be Sakho and his advisers waiting to see if anything better came in.

It appears it did not, because France’s Foot Mercato are reporting that Sakho has agreed to join Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the current season.
That gives the Frenchman a get-out if Palace do fail in their battle to avoid the drop.
