There may well be light at the end of the tunnel for Vincent Janssen. The young Dutch striker has been very frustrated recently over his proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur.
Speaking about the situation more than once, Janssen has made it clear he feels AZ should have already accepted an approach from Spurs, and reports in the French and Dutch media make it clear that’s the club he wants.
Ligue 1 champions PSG, Bundesliga club Wolfsburg and West Ham have all been linked with approaches in recent days, but the story is the same every time – Janssen is holding out for his move to Tottenham.
That plays into Tottenham’s hands and Dutch newspaper AS, who have reported the situation well from start to (hopefully) finish, late last night published a story saying Tottenham are willing to pay the €20m required, and do so this week.
Tottenham are expecting agreement on €20m, and AD say the club believe that they can get Janssen ‘as quickly as possible to London’.
