Last week, Alfredo Pedulla reported Torino’s interest in Tottenham youngster Callum Olusesi.
The midfielder’s entourage was key as the journalist was confident they had offered him to the Italian club. Torino were holding internal discussions about a deal, with the 18-year-old having been on the bench for Tottenham multiple times this season.
Pedulla has now reported some updates about the teenager, who is on the verge of leaving Thomas Frank’s side.
Torino are said to have ‘agreed everything’ to sign the teenager. Olusesi is now going to depart Tottenham on an initial loan with an option to buy. Terms have been finalised and a deal should go through this week.
The journalist appears confident that the teenager will be involved in the Champions League on Wednesday. After that, he will head to Turin to finalise a switch and undergo a medical.
Pedulla also suggests that this should hand Olusesi more game time for the remainder of the season.
That should indicate this was the intention of the player’s entourage all along. They were probably supplying the journalist with the information about the deal too. Pedulla was the first to report the possible deal earlier this month.
Kristjan Asllani is likely on his way out of the Turin club, this will give Olusesi some first-team minutes.
An initial loan will help Torino make a judgement about the Tottenham youngster before they commit to a permanent deal.
