Over the past several weeks various claims from Italy have said Arsenal are among the clubs keen on signing Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee.
The Gunners’ interest in the striker continues to be discussed by Corriere dello Sport, who state Arsenal will try to sign him in the summer window.
Zirkzee’s chances of staying are slim and his agent Kia Joorabchian is requesting a new deal and higher salary Subcequently he could be playing his final matches with the Serie A side.
The report states the Italian club have their ‘hands tied’ because of the €40m buyout clause and the striker’s former club, Bayern Munich will receive 45% of the fee.
It’s to be noted that earlier claims had indicated this clause was only valid for Bayern, but Corriere now say that any club that want to sign the Dutchman will have to pay €40m.
An exit seems likely in the next window and his representative could decide his next club. If that were to be the case it’s claimed the frontman would end up at Arsenal.
Edu is leading the pursuit of Zirkzee as the Gunners director is ‘waiting for him with open arms’. The Brazilian and Joorabchian have a good relationship, and this could help Arsenal to bring the player to the Emirates.
If Zirkzee were to move to Arsenal, he would sign a four-year deal worth £6m per year plus bonuses. AC Milan are said to be in the background with player prefering to remain in Serie A.
Milan would be hoping for Zirkzee to convince his agent, who seems to be keen on taking him to the Premier League. As of now everything indicates he would end up at the north London club.
